This paper presents an analysis of the impact of the course of Business History at the training plans of professional's in management in Colombia. On the study were used data from seventy academic programs taught in fifty-two Universities. The results reveal conceptual problems facing the nature of the field of knowledge of the business history and its topics; also it highlight the importance of strengthening social science training, specifically in Business History, as a complement of being and knowing of the Manager. Finally, trends and new directions for research and development of Business History dominate academia in the country are presented.
